While coffee is grown in 15 states in Mexico, 90% of it comes from four states: Veracruz, Oaxaca, Puebla, and Chiapas. This organic coffee comes from the Jaltenango region of Chiapas. Jaltenango has incredible biodiversity and jungle life.
More than 500,000 coffee farmers are in Mexico, with 95% being smallholders with less than three hectares.
Expect a medium-bodied coffee with a heavy aroma and a delightful acidity.
